Brass 3 Headed Mahakala Phurba Dagger kila Phurwa

A phurwa, also known as a magic blade, is a tantric ritual tool that is used to vanquish bad spirits and remove barriers. High level tantric practitioners use it in magic rituals. Phurwa is predominantly utilised in Central Tibet, but phurba is more frequently used in Kham, Amdo, and Ladakh. The name Phurwa's component phur is a Tibetan translation of the Sanskrit word kila, which means peg or nail. The Phurwa is a tool that binds and nails things down. Padmasambhava, who is thought to be the originator of this tool, consecrated the land where the Samye monastery was built by sticking a Phurwa into the ground and therefore nailing and binding the evil spirits.
