Brass Compassion and Fearlessness Buddha Statue

Shakyamuni Buddha is represented here at the moment of enlightenment, the earth as witness. The mudras, or hand gestures, also symbolize the union of skillful means (right hand touching the earth), and wisdom (left hand in meditation posture). His robe is ornamented with seated buddhas, his head is surrounded by lotus flowers, symbol of purity and compassion.
