Brass Hand Bell With Nandi Figurine On Top

A ghanti is a Hindu bell made of brass and used in rituals. When rung, a clapper attached to the inside makes a high-pitched sound. A brass figure is usually adorning the top of the bell handle. The ghanti is used in many Hindu rituals such as puja because it is believed to push away asuras and awaken the Devas (Gods). During worship, the ghanti is typically held in the left hand and rung continuously while the various items are offered with the right hand.
