The holy brass charnamrit cup is placed before the pooja and then distributed after the pooja is finished, and a brass panchpatra and pali set, also known as a charan amrit set, is a necessary component of poojas. After the pooja is complete, people partake in the Charanamrit, which literally translates to Amrit (Holy Nectar) from the Charan (Feet of the Lord) of the worshipped deity. Every day, the cooked food is first offered to the Lord in many Hindu homes before it is eaten by the rest of the family. The food that has been offered is combined with the other foods and then served as prasad. During the puja, it is also used to wash the devotees' hands.
