Brass Pan Box Or Utility Box

Unusual vintage brass pan box handcrafted Vetilla Chellamor  pan box from India,  with an exceptionally long legacy.   As part of tradition and custom, this box was used to store beetle leaf, Areca nut, and other items. With in early twentieth century, vetilla chellam with an long octagonal shape and dark patina was recognised as a sign of aristocracy. Today, the practice of carrying Pan box to store pan is slowly restricted and admired as an Interior decoration.
