This brass statue depicts Lord Krishna, a Hindu deity. He is an incarnation of the Vedic Supreme God Vishnu, also known as Narayana. Krishna is easily identified by his presentation style. A dark-skinned, usually dark blue, prince dressed in yellow, wearing a crown with a peacock feather in it, and holding a flute near his lips. He is shown in his signature pose, resting and playing the flute, in this statue. He usually stands with one leg bent in front of the other and raises a flute to his lips in this form, known as Tribhangi Mudra. The name Krishna Tribhangi comes from the Sanskrit word tribhangi, which means three curves.
