This Tibetan brass butter lamp is made out of brass. It was handcrafted with skill. This is an illustration of a conventional butter lamp used in Buddhist temples and monasteries throughout the Himalayan region. Tibetan oil lamp is a lamp that uses an oil-based fuel source to emit light continuously and widely. Oil lamps have been around for thousands of years, even though they are used less frequently now. However, unlike candles, they require the use of an oil container because the fuel they burn is liquid at room temperature. Oil is drawn up and burned as it is lit at the end of a wick made of textile that is lowered into the liquid.
