Traditional brass hanging oil lamp on a chain that has reportedly been used for many years to worship the Goddesses and is one of many ancestor lamps of a family from Kerala in the Kannur area. The presence of these lamps, which were always a crucial component of the prayer room, was an essential component of the ritual worship offered to a deity, and a day was set aside for its worship on one no-moon day in the month of Shravan.
