Traditional Brass Pot In antique Finish

The brass cook pot, or Vengala Paanai (in Tamil), is an auspicious utensil given to a new bride to cook her first Sakkarai Pongal during the Pongal festival. On special occasions, the Vengala Paanai is used to cook rice, make Sakkarai Pongal, and even Arisi Upma with a crispy outermost surface.
